There are over 2,400 4-year universities and colleges in the United States, so it’s no surprise that finding the right one for you can feel like a daunting task. In this workshop, we’ll help students begin to think about how to narrow down and focus on the colleges that fit their preferences, needs, and how to make this a low-stress process. We’ll also address some of the myths that are often perpetuated on social media, answer student questions, and talk about an individualized plan for moving forward.
Recommended for high school juniors, but sophomores wanting to jump into the process are welcome as well. Parents are also welcome to attend, but must register individually and will be seated at a Parents Table to focus on understanding how the college landscape has changed, balancing support and autonomy with teens in the college process, and tips on supporting students during college visits.
Registration is $20 per person and can be paid by cash, check, or the PayPal link below. Participation in the workshop is not confirmed until both the form below is completed and payment is received.
Note: This event is being sponsored by Girl Scout Troop 11075, but is open to anyone in the community.
